From fear of scams to deciding to contact Sun Gateway’s page after watching reviews on both their website and TikTok, and being confident in their legitimacy, I decided to apply for a home construction loan with Sun Gateway because I wanted to build a new house to replace the one that was destroyed by a storm.
Q: Please introduce yourself. What is your name, age, current occupation, and where do you currently work?
A: My name is Wipaporn Asasuek, I am 29 years old. I currently work in Australia as a Ward Delivery employee (delivering medication to various wards in a hospital). I’ve only been in this position for about a year.
Q: How many years have you worked in Australia?
A: I’ve worked here for 4 years.
Q: Did you have to adjust a lot to life in Australia?
A: Yes, quite a lot. Starting with the language, and many other things that are different from back home.
Q: How long did it take to adjust?
A: About a year to a year and a half, because I wasn’t fluent in English to begin with. So I had to take extra language classes, go to school, study and work at the same time.
Q: What are your plans? Are you buying it for your parents or for yourself in the future?
A: I haven’t planned anything that far ahead. My current plan is just to “build a house for my family to live in,” because our old house was damaged by a storm and is very old. So, I intend to build a new house for them.
Q: So, you don’t have any plans to return to live in Thailand right now, right?
A: That’s right. I don’t have any plans to return yet. I just intend to build it for my parents to make them happy.
Q: How did you find out about Sungateway?
A: I started by searching online for information about “wanting to build a house in Thailand, wanting to get a loan from abroad, what do I need to do, which banks can I go through?” I also saw reviews on TikTok before, which made me confident and led me to search for more information on the company’s website.
Q: Is there anything you are particularly worried about because you are living abroad?
A: I’m afraid of scammers. I was worried about the company’s legitimacy because I’m living abroad. It took me quite a while to browse their website and read reviews before deciding to contact them. I don’t work in Thailand and wasn’t sure if the employment contracts I sent would be sufficient for the loan application.
Q: Could you share your positive experience with Sun Gateway?
A: Initially, the appraiser estimated I might get around 80% of the house price, but the actual approval was 100%! I was so happy; it exceeded my expectations. Getting a loan with Sun Gateway was easier than other places; no guarantor was needed, and I got a significantly higher loan amount.
