A: My name is Alisa Simon, I am 39 years old, and I currently reside in Germany.

A: I have lived here for 11 years.
Q: What obstacles or adjustments did you face in the beginning after moving?
A: The difficult parts were learning the language and the period before I had a job. It was a short period, about 1-2 years, where I had to find small jobs, but the income wasn’t enough to support me. It was difficult during that time.
Q: What is your current occupation and how long have you worked here?
A: I work at the Tesla factory, making electric cars. I’m a paint technician (QC) here. I’ve been here for about 4 years.
Q: Did you miss Thailand in the beginning? And what are your plans for returning to Thailand?
A: I missed Thailand a lot in the first 2-3 years. After 5 years, things started to settle down. But after the 10th year, I initially thought I would retire and return to Thailand 100%. But now I think it’s better to go back and forth. But I still need to have a house because I don’t want to rent every time I come to Thailand.
Q: What was the main purpose of deciding to build a house in Thailand?
A: Personally, I think renting is quite wasteful, and I did it for the future of my grandchildren in Thailand, as well as to provide security for myself in the future. If any uncertain events occur, at least I will still have my own house when I return.
Q: What is the current status of your house?
A: I’ve currently applied for a loan to build a house on my own land. The house is about 80% complete. There’s only about a month and a half to two months left until it’s fully finished.
Q: Do you plan to move back to Thailand permanently in the future?
A: We’re planning for about 6-7 years from now, around my husband’s retirement age. But we won’t be moving permanently; we’ll mainly be traveling back and forth between Thailand and Germany.
Q: Which province is this house located in?
A: It’s in Ubon Ratchathani province, my hometown, right next to my mother’s house.
Q: How did you find out about Sun Gateway?
A: I saw it frequently on my Facebook feed. However, initially (about 1-2 years ago), Thai people in Germany warned about scam pages that demanded payment upfront, and Sun Gateway was mentioned in that group. At the time, I didn’t pay much attention to it, thinking I could save up and buy it myself. But after a year, I realized I couldn’t actually save up the money myself because I had constant expenses sending money back to Thailand.
Q: Why did you change your mind and choose to use Sun Gateway’s services?
A: I kept seeing their advertisements, so I decided to read through comments from a year ago to differentiate between fake accounts and real customers. I also contacted 2-3 people who seemed to be real customers, and they helped explain things until I was confident that it was possible. A: I was quite confident it would be approved because I followed all the procedures and submitted all the required documents. Knowing that even someone with no prior knowledge could get through it was all part of the process.
Q: What were the difficulties in processing the documents from overseas, and how did Sun Gateway help?
A: Sun Gateway prepared and provided all the necessary information and documents very well. The difficulty lay in scheduling the document signing process. It was very difficult to schedule an appointment to sign the documents in Germany during the end of the year. Ultimately, I decided to fly back to Thailand from Friday to Monday to sign the contract at their head office and then fly back immediately, which helped speed things up.
Q: What is the condition of this house, and what are your plans for it?
A: The land is approximately one rai (about 0.4 acres). I bought it with cash previously and already built a small house on it. The house I applied for a loan for with Sun Gateway will be right next to it. We planned to build a raised house in a tropical style, with interconnected floors. My husband loves this style, and we’re paying for it with our own hard-earned money.
Q: Was your husband aware of the loan application process with Sun Gateway?
