Q. Adapting to Norway and Feelings Towards Thailand
A. “I moved to Norway when I was young. Back then, there wasn’t much to adjust to, just the language and culture being different. But as time went on, I got used to it. Now, I feel like Norway is my main home because many things are more convenient and easier to understand here. When I speak Thai now, it feels a little hesitant because I think in Norwegian first and then translate it into Thai (laughs).”
Q. The Beginning of Buying a House and Getting to Know Sun Gateway
A. “I bought this house for my mother. I wanted her to have her own home. I looked at houses in the province where my mother moved, and the construction company or the project manager recommended Sun Gateway to me because they already had international clients.” And we’ve worked together before.”
Q. Concerns before applying for a loan
A. “I was very worried, afraid the loan wouldn’t be approved because I work abroad. At first, I even asked the landlord if I could use my mother’s name as a co-borrower because I was afraid I wouldn’t get approved on my own. But he said not to worry… The best part is that you don’t need a guarantor in Thailand. You can use your income and proof of employment from abroad to apply directly.”
Q. Impressions of the team and the waiting time
A. “The team was very helpful. They answered questions constantly in the group chat. Whenever I had questions, I always got a reply. I was so happy when I found out it was approved! It was a holiday at my home in Norway. Actually, I waited for the answer every day! (laughs) Considering the time from submitting the application in January of this year until the approval, it wasn’t long at all.”
Q. Advice for Thais abroad who want to own a home
A. “I would highly recommend this to Thais abroad who want to own a home in Thailand. I felt the process wasn’t as complicated as I thought because the team constantly explained what I needed to do and what documents I needed to prepare.” It made everything so much easier!”
