At first, I never imagined that someone working abroad—without any assets in Thailand—could secure a home loan. It wasn’t until I saw an acquaintance successfully use Sun Gateway’s services that I decided to do the same. I was truly impressed by how simple and straightforward the process was, with a team that provided clear guidance at every single step.
Natchanin Noenmai, 42, currently works as a dental assistant in Singapore, where she has lived for about 10 years.
Q: How do Singapore and Thailand differ? What was the biggest adjustment you had to make?
A: When I first arrived, there was so much to adapt to. Singapore is very different from Thailand—there are strict rules for everything, and you have to live according to them. There are just so many regulations! At the beginning, I couldn’t keep up, which caused me a lot of stress. Also, people there tend to be very serious about everything—you rarely see them smile—which is quite a contrast to the much more laid-back atmosphere in Thailand.
Q: Did you take any language courses before moving?
A: Actually, I initially moved there for marriage, not with the intention of working. However, having gained some English proficiency from my previous job in Phuket, I eventually—after about five years—began to understand the local lifestyle and communication style better. That’s when I decided to start working, and I managed to adapt well enough to hold down a job.
Q: What are your plans for this house?
A: Honestly, I hadn’t even considered it. I never thought I’d buy a home in Thailand again; I assumed I would just stay in Singapore and retire there. But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve started to miss home. Whenever I return to Thailand, it truly feels like coming home—a place to rest and reconnect with friends. Seeing my friends start to buy homes of their own also played a part… I decided that I wanted to own a home in Thailand—a place to stay during school breaks, or perhaps for when I might eventually return to live in Thailand.
Q: Were you concerned about whether it would be possible—or perhaps too difficult—to secure a loan for a home or condo in Thailand while living abroad?
A: At first, I didn’t even consider it; I assumed it was impossible. Since I work overseas and have no assets or bank statements in Thailand, I never imagined I’d have the chance to buy a property there.
Q: How did you find out about Sun Gateway, and why did you decide to use their services?
A: I first came across them online, but I didn’t pay much attention at the time, as I wasn’t sure how feasible it really was. Later, some acquaintances—people I know well—used their services and both had successful outcomes. That gave me the confidence to look into it further.
Q: What was your experience like using Sun Gateway’s services?
A: It was simple—not nearly as complicated as I had imagined. Everything followed a clear, step-by-step process, with the team providing guidance at every stage. What I initially feared would be a difficult, messy ordeal turned out to be completely straightforward and very well-organized.
Q: How about the loan amount—were you satisfied with it?
A: I was very satisfied! The approved amount actually exceeded my expectations. I was so excited and happy when I heard the news that it had been approved.
Q: Is there anything you’d like to say to other Thais living abroad who dream of owning a home or condo in Thailand?
A: If you have a dream and a plan to own a home or condo in Thailand, I highly recommend trying Sun Gateway’s services. They can truly help turn that dream into a reality. So that we can have a home of our own to return to for rest, once we decide we no longer wish to live abroad.
Thank you for trusting Sun Gateway with your needs, and congratulations on your new home!
