A: I was worried. Since I don’t work for a company—I’m a homemaker looking after the house and kids—I don’t have a standard income statement, so getting a loan on my own seemed difficult.

A: I bought it with the intention of living there when I return in the future. For now, though, my mother is living there and taking care of the house.
