Q: Before deciding to use Sun Gateway’s services, were you concerned that applying for a loan in Thailand while working abroad would be difficult?
A: I gave it a lot of thought. I was worried the loan might not be approved or that my case would be too complicated, as very few companies handle loan applications in Thailand for people working overseas. That was a major concern for me.
Q: How did you find out about Sun Gateway, and how did you get started?
A: I received a recommendation from a friend, did some research on the website, called to consult with the staff, and decided to give it a try.

A: There were quite a few steps involved—gathering documents and following up on the loan assessment—but the staff provided excellent guidance.
Q: What are your plans for this property?
A: I plan to live in it myself. I return to Thailand for a holiday once a year, around July (during the school break from late June to mid-August). I’ll stay there during my visit and then head back abroad; it’s very convenient.
Q: How did the loan amount and financial preparation go?
A: I initially applied for a provisional loan of 4 million baht and was approved. When I proceeded with the actual loan, I was approved for a property price of 3.5 million baht, which worked out perfectly—I didn’t need to pay any extra out-of-pocket costs. You simply need to prepare the funds for the cashier’s check, transfer fees, and any price difference if the property value is lower than the appraised value.
Q: Do you have any message for Thais living abroad who wish to own a house or condo in Thailand?
A: I would like to invite Thais living in Norway, across Europe, and elsewhere to contact the staff or look up Sun Gateway. They provide excellent advice and guide you through the process step-by-step; it’s not as difficult as you might think. I believe anyone who applies can certainly get approved.
