Q: Please introduce yourself and your work history abroad?
A: I currently work for the government in Ottawa, Canada, since 2015 in a computer-related field.
Q: How is life and work in Canada different from Thailand?
A: It’s quite different. The city I live in is a conservative capital, mostly inhabited by government officials and older people. Document communication is still primarily done via telephone, whereas in Thailand, it’s much more advanced and faster now, with QR codes and AI to facilitate things.
Q: Why did you decide to buy a house in Thailand while working abroad?
A: I planned to buy it for my mother and aunt to live in, as they previously lived in a country house near the border, which was far and inconvenient for elderly people. Therefore, I wanted to find a house in the city that was closer to a hospital and had convenient transportation.
Q: How did you find out about and confidently choose Sun Gateway’s services?
A: I saw it through a news article on Facebook and clicked to check out the details. This project is being developed by Sun Gateway in collaboration with GHB (Government Housing Bank). I tried contacting them via LINE, and the staff were very helpful and explained the process clearly and easily.
Q: How do you feel after receiving the loan approval result?
A: I’m very happy. At first, I admit I was a little worried about whether it would be a scam, but once everything was completed smoothly and the loan amount was approved as stated (95%), I felt confident and very impressed.
Q: What advice would you give to Thais living abroad who want to own a home in Thailand?
A: I would recommend that they consult and check the information first. Most Thais working abroad can easily meet the criteria. It’s a great opportunity for those who want to own their own home in Thailand.
