At first, I was worried about being scammed, but Sun Gateway made it possible for Thais living abroad to get home loans for their condos. The Sun Gateway team provided very fast service. Q: Please introduce yourself and tell us your current occupation and where you are located?
Ms. Nalintip: My name is Nalintip Wegner. I currently work as an accountant in Sweden. I moved to Sweden in 2009 and started working in accounting in 2015.
Q: What are your plans for buying the condo in Thailand?
Ms. Nalintip: Initially, I intended to buy it as a holiday home. That way, when I fly back to Thailand, I’ll have a place to stay instead of staying in hotels. This condo is also conveniently located on my way back home to Phatthalung, so if relatives come to visit Bangkok, they can stay with me.
Q: What were your initial feelings before applying for the loan? Were you worried about living abroad?
Ms. Nalintip: I thought it would be difficult and was very worried. I was worried about being scammed, wondering if it was even real because I saw so many advertisements. But after seeing reviews saying that some people had actually done it, some in 4 or 8 months, I became confident that this project was real.
Q: Why did you decide to use Sun Gateway’s services?
Ms. Nalinthip: It started with me searching for information on whether Thai people working abroad could get a loan to buy a house in Thailand. I found the information. I had tried contacting other banks directly, but I encountered problems with communication because they could only be contacted via Thai phone numbers and couldn’t send emails internationally. Q: How did you feel when you found out your loan was approved?
Ms. Nalinthip: I was in Sweden at the time. When I found out that the loan was approved, I felt very relieved. Because it’s a success, I’m very happy.
