Even while working abroad, I was able to buy a house in Thailand because Sun Gateway handled every step. From someone who knew nothing about home loans, I finally managed to own my first home in Thailand.
Q. 👤Could you introduce yourself? What is your name and age?
A. My name is Khanutsak Kham-oo, and I am 22 years old.
Q. Where do you currently work and what is your profession?
A. I currently work in Perth, Australia as a Cabinet Maker, a craftsman who makes cabinets and built-in furniture.
Q. What kind of work is this?
A. It involves built-in work, like kitchen cabinets and appliances for entire houses. Anything that’s a cabinet, I do it all. (smiles)
Q. Is this a company you work for, and how long have you been doing it?
A. Yes, it’s a company, and we’ve been doing it for 3 years.
Q. How has life been in Australia? Did you have to adjust a lot in the beginning?
A. For me, I only had to adjust to the transportation and a little bit of daily life. I didn’t adjust much because there wasn’t much to talk to (laughs).
Q. And what about the language? Do I need to study it beforehand?
A. The language isn’t difficult. If you get there, they offer free courses. You can enroll right away. It’s called TAFE (Technical and Further Education), similar to our vocational training centers. They’ll let you study for free until you reach their Level 3.
Q. How long does it take to finish?
A. If you study the morning class, it’s about 2-3 years. It depends on what level you’re at when you enter. If you enter at Level 2, you study for another year, then continue to Level 3 for another year, and then you’re done. But for me, I think I started to understand after just the first 5 weeks. It’s not difficult (smiles).
Q. Is this house that you bought planned for you to live in yourself in the future, or for your parents?
A. I intend to live in it myself in the future, and I also bought it for my father to live in now.
Q. Do you plan to come back soon? Is this it?
A. Not yet… I need to save up first (laughs)
Q. Were you worried about applying for a home loan in Thailand before, since you work in Australia, which is quite far?
A. Not at all. It didn’t seem difficult. I can use my salary from there and send it back here as an exchange, and that should be fine.
Q. How did you find out about Sun Gateway? Did anyone recommend you?
A. I found out through my father. He probably saw it on Facebook or in a LINE group for adults (laughs).
Q. Have you tried consulting anywhere else before?
A. Never. This is the first time. When my father recommended them, I contacted them right away.
Q. How was Sun Gateway’s service? Were the staff helpful and did they assist with the paperwork?
A. All the staff were very nice. They were very polite and courteous when I received the approval result. Where were you at that time, and how did you feel about it?
I was at work when I found out the results (laughs). I was already confident that it would be approved because Sun Gateway took care of everything. It didn’t seem difficult.
Q. Could you share your impressions of Sun Gateway?
A. My impressions? (laughs) Well, this is “my first big debt in my life,” and Sun Gateway helped take care of it.

A. If anyone is interested, it’s not difficult at all. Just contact us first. Once we talk on the phone, everything will be clear. From initially not knowing anything, you’ll understand everything.
