Q: Was this the first country you moved to for work?
A: It was the first country I moved from Thailand to, and I’ve stayed here long-term. I have a family here.
Q: How did you adjust to living in Norway?
A: Adjusting to the culture, food, and weather was very difficult. Norwegian food, especially breakfast, is bread and dry food, which is unfamiliar to Thais. It can cause bloating and isn’t very filling. Shops aren’t open every day like in Thailand; they’re closed on Sundays and holidays. You have to plan ahead and stock up on groceries at home. I’m a little nervous.
Q: How often do you return to Thailand?
A: About once every two years, or sometimes once a year, it depends.
Q: Where is the condo you bought located?
A: The condo is in Chom Thong district, near BTS Wutthakat.
Q: Did you buy it for holidays, or do you plan to return to live in Thailand?
A: I bought it because I wanted to live there myself in the future. But while I’m working abroad, I can rent it out short-term. It’s my own property. I’ll move back when I retire.
